[08:42] – Should we prioritise sending our satellites to space given the junk that humans have put there?

  • Satellites provide great use for humanity.
  • We shouldn’t stop launching or having them, however, not everybody needs to launch one. 
  • At Privateer, we are planning to launch a common satellite and inviting people to subscribe to be able to get the data or picture of space they want, without having to launch a separate one. 
  • We care and focus to minimise the number of single-use satellites in space. 

[17:35] – What is the role of indigenous people in protecting the environment?

  • Indigenous people are the original stewards of spaceship Earth.
  • They live by certain principles.
  • The first is believing that things are interconnected.
  • They embrace the intergenerational contract with stewardship vs. ownership of stuff.
