  • My decision to go to the gymnasium instead of the regular secondary school, despite my friends going elsewhere, opened up studying languages and opportunities.
  • I got captivated by the game of chess in the gymnasium and decided to pursue becoming a chess player and aiming for the world championship initially.
  • I met a friend on my chess team, who was an exceptionally strong player, which made me rethink my goal of becoming a world champion and instead pursue academics and computer chess.

  • Be open and open-minded as much as possible, especially when reading or learning new things.
  • Have the courage to speak up, voice your opinion, and respectfully contradict others when you disagree.
  • Having self-assurance and being prepared to defend your stance is important, even if it means going against authority figures or the majority view.
