He very interestingly writes and teaches about leadership as well as cultural evolution in business and society. Richard now lives in the UK he was responsible for developing the theory of the seven stages of psychological development and universal stages of evolution.
He is an internationally recognized thought leader on the evolution of human values in business and society. Richard is the President of the Parity Committee at Barrettt Academy which he founded two years ago and the founder of the Barrett Value Center which he founded in 1997. Before starting his own company he was the values coordinator at the world bank. A lot of experience indeed!
In this conversation with host Frits Bussemaker, Richard talks about his professional journey and shares some key points of his career. After working for almost two decades as a transportation engineer, Richard realized he wanted to do something more valuable and give back in a different way. He resonated with psychological and spiritual concepts throughout his life. He was deeply interested in understanding the working and functioning of the mind.
Richard who is focused mainly on value and evolution talks about his book and the stages of value evolution we face as humans. He describes each stage thoroughly and also makes a distinct gender observation in evolutionary intelligence. He throws light on how he is influenced by the works of great psychologists like Maslow and Carl Jung.

Richard is also a Founding Member of the V20 (Values) Task Force of the G20.
