  • My life has been about consumers, with consumers, and for consumers.
  • After gaining experience and expertise working with multiple cultures, geographies, and leadership styles, I wanted to distill all that knowledge and wisdom and give it back.
  • I chose to become an entrepreneur.
  • My last assignment in the corporate world was that of managing director for Tupperware brands in India.

[03:23] What is ‘PURPOSITIONING’?

It comes from Purpose and Positioning. It is about creating a differentiated strategy as a leader for yourself, your brand, and the organization. Furthermore, it means that you are defining and then executing your strategy with purpose at the core.

[09:18] What are the real needs of the business?

Clients approach us with some challenges they are facing, but when we sit with them, we realize that what they are seeing as the real challenge is only a symptom of what is brewing inside.

We have a four-step process, which is called Four Ds:

  1. Discover
  2. Diagnosing
  3. Design
  4. Deploy

[13:43] How do you start the process of redefining the purpose of startups?

  • Unomantra started as a business strategy consulting firm but halfway down the line, I had to add the vertical, Leadership Advisory.
  • We all seven billion plus people on this planet are born with a unique purpose.
  • I don’t help them find it,  I don’t help them discover it, I help them reveal it to themselves, so I’m a catalyst.

[21:45] Advice to young entrepreneurs

  • Hold on to your dream.
  • Be humble.
  • Be open to feedback.
  • Take advice from everyone, but continue to nurture that dream and fuel it with all your passion.
