  • We work with young companies seeking growth. We help them scale by getting their process in order, onboarding the right talent, finalizing the financial model, and connecting them to potential customers.

01:55- Challenges of Startups

  • Often the founders are great technology folks, but they need complementary skills in terms of can they get a business person as a co-founder.

02:58- What is a Cross-Border Startup?

  • The cross border for me has been basically Bay Area companies and Bangalore, so these are two interesting geographies.

04:48- Why do several startups fail?

  • One most important reason is the product market fit.
  • If you have not validated it early enough, or you have not tweaked your model early enough then you will have failures.
  • When the co-founding team do not have the same value systems, or they don’t have complementary skills.
  • If you don’t have money in the bank to do what you want.

06:53- When should a startup start to scale up?

  • Speaking about, product companies that have a long gestation cycle, so they might need to do some amount of prototypes or MVP before they go to the market.
  • So their gestation cycles will differ, their scale-up model will differ from a services company.

07:47- About the Book

  • As a woman and as an entrepreneur, one has always seen a different kind of  issues or needs.
  • My Co-Founder and I had accelerated between us nearly 100 companies, and the theme of problems for women to be accelerated as entrepreneurs was totally different.
  • We did a lot of research, we spoke to a lot of people, we put it together, and we created a book for accelerators and incubators to accelerate women entrepreneurs.
