07:41- About the book and how did you approach Kewal

  • I started off by looking at the education available for students to learn how to create enterprise systems.
  • I reached out to a former colleague, Kewal, through LinkedIn, as I felt there wasn’t enough education out there on how financial administrative systems are structured, and how the data is structured for them.
  • I wanted to come up with a new way to create enterprise systems that had the inherent capability to exchange data, and then educate students on how to take on this methodology and platform.
  • Kewal was a big supporter right from the beginning, and it was critical to have his support throughout the process.
  • It’s been a journey for us since 2017 to get to the point of writing the book.

14:12- How accessible is the book?

  • I believe that we’ve done a great job in making the material in the book accessible and holistic.
  • It all started with me publishing articles on LinkedIn, challenging the experts, and seeking feedback to develop the five key principles needed to create integrated systems.
  • Then, we focused on developing software to prove that these principles were possible rather than just theory.
  • This led to the creation of a massive proof-of-concept environment that showed how different systems could exchange data and automatically aggregate it.
  • We created videos and a website to showcase this capability.
  • Now, we just need to spread the message.
