Overview

Different people of various age groups with different goals can have different styles of workouts. Workout is in any way just considered to be 20% of your fitness while the other 80% is considered to be what you eat. From the basics of workouts to the advanced technology that can be integrated into the business process, today we talk to Nestor about how he plans to create the best fitness business and integrate blockchain into the fitness industry.

About Nestor Limas

  • I’m 27 years old, building a fitness start-up business.
  • Looking to disrupt the fitness industry by utilizing blockchain technology in my business model.
  • This allows me to help bridge the gap between Web2 to Web3 for fitness.
  • Before starting this business venture, I was a former soccer player playing in Medellín, Colombia with Envigado FC. From that, I moved on to being a personal trainer at Equinox and then starting my own Personal Training business.

00:52 – About his journey

  • I am a big believer that your failures form you into who you are today.
  • Being a professional athlete and then getting into entrepreneurship, I learned that you need to have resilience and a very tough skin towards failure and perform at your best.
  • The network is probably one of the most significant contributors to success.

05:30 – How are you building FitNest and what are you disrupting?

  • FitNest is a unique brand, and we are the first fitness business to utilize blockchain technology.
  • We are implementing NFTs, blockchain security, and blockchain payments to change how people interact with fitness.
  • We plan to make the signing-up process very easy and efficient so that you don’t have to waste time and energy filling out the details and payments etc.

10:08 – How does one determine what is the right fitness regime for a person?

  • The first and foremost thing is that any form of exercise is good for you. It’s just about what your goals are and what you need to do to get there.
  • If you’re a runner then the style of a workout suited for you won’t be similar for somebody who is into weight lifting.
  • That being said, for the average person, it is a mix of strength training and cardiovascular exercises that is good for them to enhance their overall health.
