Overview

Starting a Business is one of the biggest challenges any entrepreneur will face. There are many questions to answer at the very beginning when starting a business, but the most difficult one is the question of what exactly you want to do. Today we have Brooke Wade, President, of Wade Capital Corporation to talk about his experience of starting a business.

00:57- What did you do right to reach the top?

  • I started off by learning what to do wrong.
  • When something happens, you immediately think if it’s good or bad, but you really have no idea until later that seemed like a very bad time.
  • It gave me the tools to go on to much bigger and better things.
  • It’s very easy to mislead yourself in business and lead yourself with what you hope will happen.
  • You have to communicate with all the people around you in a straightforward and transparent way.

10:58- What do you look for before you decide to make an investment?

  • You need to have people. People need to have hunger, and they have to have integrity.
  • If you have people that are willing to work hard and have integrity, then they can almost solve any problem.
  • You need an achievable task. You require something that you can understand that is going to be possible to execute and has numbers, that will make a lot of value creation.

21:50- Three lessons

  • You have to face reality.
  • The second thing is something, where they cross over the real value of money, is freedom.
