Overview
In an engaging conversation with Mr. Garg today on The Brand Called You, we have with us Mr. G.Raghavan. He is the former president of Carrier and NIIT and the current CEO of Bhartiya Urban. Having worked with ‘Carrier’, Mr. Raghavan shares his experience in the AC industry. They discuss how from a luxury, the AC has turned into a necessity. And the changes in the industry. Mr Raghavan believes that changes were mostly brought about by the 1991 reforms and the taxation process. He also practically differentiates the multinational and Indian companies. Given his current position, he further throws light on the changes in the real estate industry due to demonitisation, gst and the RE regulation act. “Real estate industry has always been the destination of cash. It has not always been the perpetrator of cash!” Talking about life after 60, Mr. Raghavan believes that it should be spent doing what one loves and being with loved ones. A lover of marathons and a very work oriented personality, Mr. Raghavan inspires many but always sticks to the quality of gratitude.
