Silk materials have been shown to promote wound healing since the 1990s. Both fibroin and sericin have been found to be effective substrates for the proliferation of adherent animal cells and can be used as a substitute for collagen.   • Fibroheal Woundcare Pvt Ltd is a startup approved under Startup India and Startup Karnataka and working on leveraging the biomaterial property of silk to innovate and develop various biomedical applications of silk proteins to address different healthcare needs.
  • We are supported by DBT, Government of India, Center for cellular and molecular platforms (CCAMP), and Department of IT, BT and ST, Govt of Karnataka.
  • We work on Bio Modified silk proteins to develop various innovative medical devices / other products for Advanced and Active wound care management addressing non-healing, slow healing, and difficult-to-heal acute and chronic wounds.
  • We have been recognized by BIRAC for our innovation and commercialization of a patented product from Silk Protein which assists in faster healing of wounds through higher scaffold formation and tissue regeneration. Look forward to making a difference in woundcare space and passing on the benefits to the masses.
