07:37- When you’re called in, what is the process that you follow?

  • It starts and ends with the leaders and design thinking.
  • And I practise what I preach in the fact that design thinking has five phases: empathy, defining the problem, ideation, prototyping and testing.
  •  I’ll start right there by empathizing with the leaders that I meet with. And the challenges they’re facing.
  • And that’s the sweet spot where innovation takes place.
  • And I help them find that through design thinking.

09:08-  How do you handle this challenge of changing the status quo?

  • I disagree in that we love the status quo.
  • We actually love change and new things, but we like it when we have created it.
  • But when we’re creating it, which is what innovation is, in my opinion, you know, creating the change we want to see then it’s exciting.

22:51- What are the three lessons you want our viewers to take away from your journey?

  • The first one is the performance of your organization that you’re seeking to benefit your shareholders and the world is not mutually exclusive from the problems that you’re facing.
  • So many times organizations are looking outside themselves for the answer, when in fact, the answer is within themselves.
  •  Ask the right questions to find those answers within ourselves within our organizations.
