[07:30] – Can you describe what are foundation models? Where do they fit into the hierarchy of AI?
- We have traditional AI, which usually have tag data and the models learn the data, but the recent generative AI model is found in deep learning.
- Deep learning is a deep neural network. It’s like a neural network with many layers and each layer has different capabilities.
- Current models like ChatGPT are close to our human mind which is both good and scary.
- It falls into the modern models in generative AI. They have auto encoders like decoding encoding.
- It is different from the traditional models, and it’s able to learn from huge amounts of data on the Internet.
[10:40] – How do you move the kind of capability that everybody’s familiar with to optimizing for things like supply chain or employee interaction or things that are not just text-based or chat based?
- It can understand your data deeply and can give your evaluation.
- A simple example is that you may have an organization that does have lots of reports, and feedback.
- You give them money and want to see how they are doing, and they give you some kind of reports which can be either in an Excel sheet or a huge Azure based database.
- Open AI can get into that and can provide you with the key factors in each report or in each category, or it can put them in the categories.
- These are the kinds of insights that you can get out of the models.
- It really depends on how you formulate and articulate your problem, it’s going to affect what you get from the model but there are always going to be lots of things over there that the model can help you with.
