Bob Bragar was a very successful immigration attorney working in Swank Law Firm in New York. He moved to the Netherlands in 1994.
04:12- [Bob Bragar] Why did you leave New York?
I left for Love! I met a Dutchman at a party in 1994. We did not exchange names or numbers, so we had to go find each other, which was hard. I was an immigration lawyer and I knew that I could not get my guy into America. There was no Visa for him. I assumed things would change, and then in the dark of night Bill Clinton signed the defense of marriage act.
06:22- [Jamie Daley] Tell us about your moving to Paris?
I was here for a friend’s wedding. We stopped in London on the way and I got off on the metro and I had this feeling, I have to live here. When I went back to New York, I quit my job and moved to Paris.
09:04- [David Stern] Why did you leave Germany?
Just like Jamie, I also left because of a feeling. My feeling was a bit more negative, I needed to leave Germany. I had a family which I was dragging along.
