04:49- What in your view are some of the key components of an effective brand strategy?

  • Establishing a strong positioning is the first step to an effective branding strategy.
  • From there on, a goal is defined, outlining the desired outcome and the strategy needed to achieve it. 
  • That becomes the most important element of a brand strategy. And they can change depending on the goal. 
  • Goals can change. Objectives can vary, year after year, or even in shorter periods. However, the brand positioning remains the same.

11:57- How do you help businesses approach their brand strategy and how do you align the company’s strategy with the brand identity?

  • Some entrepreneurs are naturally born branders, or brand brand makers and are very authentic. 
  • They need to be able to talk about their beliefs and their values and communicate their vision with the people working for them.
  • Brand experience and brand knowledge is not a monopolistic thing. If you want to make a brand work, you need to democratise that knowledge about your brand, and you need to be able to explain that every day.
