  • In my role as a data science manager, I oversee a team of data scientists and sometimes data engineers, working on healthcare-related projects.
  • However, working in the healthcare sector presents unique challenges due to its complexity and the impact it has on people’s health. 
  • Balancing the test-and-learn approach of technology with the risk aversion of healthcare businesses is an ongoing challenge as we cannot afford to experiment with people’s well-being. 
  • Finding a solution that harmonizes these two aspects remains an unsolved challenge in the field.

16:54- Would you be able to predict what could be future health crises and how the world may react?

  • Yeah, definitely, theoretically it’s possible. 
  • There are some challenges in practice, but it’s certainly achievable. 
  • When it comes to healthcare, it’s more about cultivating a culture that values data and understanding the significance of finding the right data for accurate predictions. 
  • Algorithms, technologies, and AI come into play afterward. 
  • As long as we have the right data, especially historical information, we can certainly accomplish something like that.
