Profile
I’m an actor, author, podcaster and communications coach who works with senior leaders, individuals, teams and politicians to solve the number one issue we all face before an important meeting: nerves!
I was an actor in my former life, and have appeared in popular shows and movies such as The Iron Lady, Eastenders, The Bill and Never The Twain. I’ve realized that a lot of the lessons learned throughout my acting career can be applied in the corporate world and so over the last 15 years or so I’ve sat down face-to-face with politicians and other professionals at the top of their field, helping them overcome nerves before an on-stage speech, a boardroom meeting or even a one-to-one dialogue such as a job interview, pitch, presentation or meeting with the boss!
More recently, we’ve all moved over to video calling but the principles of communication and the jitters and butterflies we get before a meeting remain very much the same. As a result, I have developed a series of courses and a Public Speaking Masterclass all available on-demand for anyone to access and use to improve their communication skills. The courses generally look at the things that cause nerves and how to stop them as well as other aspects of our delivery such as our voice and body language.
