Here is my story of How I chose to balance Profession & Passion by adopting dynamic prioritization every day, to make the two fields walk hand in hand. And in the journey, gained immense learning & experience from each of these specialised unique field, to strengthen leadership traits, spontaneity & creativity. I’m a Bengali, born and brought up in Delhi. I did my early days of school at Rukmini Devi Jaipuria Public School and then moved to Bal Bharti Public School. Always been in the Topper section in Academics and used to represent the school in many extra-curricular Interschool events. My dream was to get into Shri Ram College of Commerce since I was in 8th Grade. So, it was a wonderful journey during schooling, to work towards that goal, which I achieved in 1994. I’m a proud SRCC Alumni (1997 batch), and extremely honored to be recognized as ‘Distinguished Alumni’ 2019 by the esteemed college Alumni panelists, for 2 prestigious categories of ‘CFO’ and ‘Arts’, where the prestigious award was conferred by the Finance Icon himself, eminent Alumnus Honourable Former Union Finance Minister Late Shri Arun Jaitley. Post my graduation, I pursued my dream of becoming a CA. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the prestigious Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Delhi (Nov 2000).
Proud mother of my son, aged 8. It’s a beautiful feeling to nurture him by inculcating the core values that my mother developed in me so effortlessly. My childhood was full of fun with my elder brother & our friends, but at the same time, my childhood was quite hectic & planned, since I was very focused on my goals right from a tender age. I’m full of gratitude for having my mother as my Mentor and biggest Motivator. Not only did she show me direction, at the same time she gave me full liberty to let me decide things on my own. Time Management, Art of balancing profession (studies) and fine arts, setting goals, and go about it wholeheartedly as a Go-Getter with a ‘never give up attitude, are just a few of the many core values that she inculcated in me since a tender age. My mother (Maa) and my elder brother (Dada), have been my guiding stars and motivators, throughout my childhood, adolescence, and as an adult too.
