- In some ways, conflicts do have an impact, while in other ways they don’t.
- ICANN’s role is not to dictate government actions but to ensure the availability and accessibility of the internet globally.
- While conflicts may lead to fragmentation and data policies, they do not directly impact ICANN’s responsibility for the addressing system.
- However, they can impact individuals on the ground, such as internet shutdowns and restricted access to data.
