He has a family history of people working in logistics and problem solving in business.
While working a high profile consulting job in New York, Varun realised that he needed to switch up his mundane life and start something of his own. Hence he kick started Supercure in India. A venture that enables already existing businesses digitise their daily logistics and workflow. It is a logistics management platform for logistic teams of a number of companies that leverages the power of data analytics and business intelligence.
In an articulate conversation with our host Ashutosh Garg, Varun shares his story of moving from a job abroad to coming back to his home country and establishing a startup. Varun talks in detail about logistics and its role in the entrepreneurial world. He believes that logistics has changed considerably over the past years and that the pandemic has played a big role in the changing nature of the business. Varun throws light on how human involvement, manual work and person to person responsibilities have been considerably lowered due to the pandemic.
He also talks about the role of newer technology in logistics. Drones, AI, Machine learning, robotics etc are the central topic of discussion for most companies. From a technology perspective, Varun believes that things are still being built at various levels. Many startups have already started including the higher level tech support in their business.
