14:12- What skills do you think made you such a superstar in asset management and finance?
- It’s understanding that there are emotions attached to the concept of money and that each of us has a relationship with money.
- We should be teaching our youth or the next generation about simple personal finance.
- I always felt like I got the emotional and psychological component of money and the relationship with money.
- So when I would sit across from clients, it was more about, like, let’s talk about this thing that no one else is talking to you about.
20:40- You moved your career out of asset management to an entrepreneur, how did that occur?
- I know how to work for people. I know how to report up and manage up and sideways and down and have teams.
- I think logically for me, at that moment was what can I learn beyond and it was this entrepreneurial mindset.
- And I needed to know that I could do it, I needed to know that I could help found something or be an entrepreneur because I felt like working for someone and being an entrepreneur are two different things.
- It was hard, it was not easy.
1:01:09- What are your final recommendations to your audience?
- The biggest recommendation is to get involved.
- And there is so much we can offer each and every one of us. We have our intellect, our skills, our dedication, and our passion, there’s so much we have to offer.
- So never feel like you don’t have something to give.
- In fact, we would get so much back in return from the impact we’re having on the world and strangers, people, we don’t know whose lives were changing.
