- The CIO role, today, is completely strategic.
- The CIO spends more time outside the boundaries of the organization either in the competition, with the customer or with innovation or business processes.
- The CIO also partners with various technology service providers and plays a crucial role in shaping the organization’s technology strategy.

- In healthcare companies, Information Technology (IT) plays a crucial role in deploying IT systems that touch key stakeholders such as physicians, patients, payers, policymakers, and providers.
- IT can provide solutions for patient education, doctor’s training, and capturing market data for analysis.
- It helps improve manufacturing efficiencies, logistics, customer service, and overall business performance.

- Both of coach and the coachee come from different cultural backgrounds, and they have to be sensitive to each other.
- The elements included are attitude towards authority, preference of communication, your own values and mindset.
- Whatever action we take, we have to understand that it should be in sync with the organization culture which again is determined by the reward and recognition systems, the openness and transparency, conflict resolution etc.
- A solution with one organization might not work in another.
