In today’s episode of The Brand Called You, we have with us Ms. Disha Goenka Das. Disha is a professional manager based in Singapore. She is the Regional Marketing Director, Asia Pacific, Twitter. She has worked for Google for ten years. She was also recognised as Campaign Asia’s- 40 under 40.
Disha is in conversation with host Ashutosh Garg about her life and career. And the vast experiences she has already gained on this journey. She starts by listing the three key milestones of her life. Disha believes that her employment at Google and her experiences in Brazil and Singapore have helped her gain a very diverse perspective of her career. As Regional Marketing Director at Twitter, Disha highlights the key missions and goals of Twitter. She mentions that it helps amplify voices through and democratise public speech. Disha also shares the challenges and efforts that have gone into building Twitter as a brand.
A passionate dog lover, Disha also runs an organization called Sangam that supports dog shelters and hospitals. And apart from that her organization also works towards ten such themes helping different communities of the society.
Her views on gender imbalance are very relevant and she believes that the only way forward for India, is for Indian organizations to commit to change!

Disha leads Twitter’s marketing efforts across the Asia Pacific and is responsible for creating Twitter’s story and its raison d’être for consumers and businesses in the region by activating & amplifying the best of Twitter. She is a global citizen and brings diverse business experience in the technology industry having led functions and built diverse teams in Marketing, Sales, Operations & Product Commercialization across 20 markets in Asia and the Americas.
Prior to Twitter, Disha spent a decade at Google where in her last role she was responsible for launching and commercializing digital technology offerings for top-tier advertisers and publishers. Disha was chosen as Campaign Asia’s ‘40 under 40’ top marketing and communication leader in 2018 and is widely recognized as a trend shaper in the industry. A keen champion of women in leadership, she actively mentors and coaches young graduates and professionals to pay it forward and help create future cohorts of leaders. In her personal time, being an avid dog lover, she spends her time supporting multiple animal charities in Singapore and is currently in the process of setting up a philanthropy foundation that aims to address specific social challenges that she is passionate about solving across animal welfare, primary school education, gender equality and protecting local art and culture
