03:42- How do you decide who to bring into your company and matchmake?

  • We have been approached by 7000 executives which led us to take a very systematic approach for selection.
  • This is actually what led us to write the book – Right Leader Right Time.
  • These are all top 1% people who are doing exceptionally good in their career yet we had to screen out which of them were doing good and not great.

07:41- Tell me a little bit about your Red Program.

  • We had people who had taken sales from $100 million to $500 million within four years which was pretty extraordinary.
  • We had people who saved the whole company and saved thousands of jobs and got the company on its feet again.
  • Those were the individuals that were in the Red Team, the top 1% of the top1% but we had more people that did not qualify for the Red Team.

15:04- Tell me about your FABS leadership assessment program.

  • We figured that there are four main leadership styles that caused people to be excellent. FABS stands for Fixer Artist Builder Strategist.
  • For example, a Fixer requires the energy that goes into saving the organization. They get their energy from solving problems.
  • I am not saying that we look for specific things in a leader. Every leader brings with them their unique set of skills but they are dominant in usually one of the four styles.
