06:03- How do you ensure the quality and accuracy of the data and the analysis that you can provide?
- I know what trends to typically look for. I perform detailed data analysis and descriptive statistical analysis to set the hypotheses based on what I see.
- Then I test those hypotheses on multiple chunks of data. And if it is not consistently meeting the standard, that’s when that’s when the real mining starts.
11:58- For someone who works so extensively with data, is data security and privacy something that keeps coming up when you talk to people?
- Small businesses are usually less worried and I make sure things are secured at my end.
- Things get risky with bigger businesses or banks and government data. That’s a constant risk.
- For some companies, I use their systems, so that the client data is not compromised in any way.
- If I use my computer, I make sure to delete or remove any personally identifiable information.
- And for the final files, I just use servers or the companies themselves have secured systems. And I just go in there and work as I need to.
