06:25- Tell me about your book and your hypothesis when you wrote the book
- We think that self-care is our own problem. And I constantly saw that it wasn’t, I constantly saw that self-care, our relationship with others, and our relationship with work are all interconnected.
- I realized that we have self-care all wrong. my work over the past, 18 years, has been helping people being able to reclaim self-care in their daily lives.
- The book is about not just the past 18 years, but the current situation that we’re in, which is that, at least now because of COVID.
13:35- What are the 3 key tools in the Self-Care Mindset?
- The simplest tool is to pause more.
- I don’t just talk about taking a break but the pause should be me listening to you without thinking about what you are going to say next. Most cultures are not allowing that pause.
- We need a physical pause. We need to stretch a little bit.
- Power pause that allows us to regenerate our energy, attention, and focus.
