[00:53] What was your motivation to start this venture?

  • My Co-Founder and I started this uncertain journey 10 years back.
  • We were sure that we wanted to do something in the food space.
  • Our personal challenges drove it more.

  • We have recently launched the Dosa mix.
  • Unlike other brands, True Elements offers the Dosa mix, which is made up of Jowar and Ragi.

[06:56] What are the nutrition challenges Indians face?

  • Macro nutrition challenges: This is because of consuming meals highly rich in carbs. So the challenge is increasing the protein intake.
  • Micronutrient challenges: Indian women are the most anemic across the world because we have high carbs and then top up with processed sugar.

[12:20] How are sourcing your raw material?

  • We are growing some crops through contract farming.

  • A brand is all about what we are as individuals.
  • Four pillars on which our brand stands:
  1. True to People
  2. True to Food
  3. True to Planet

[16:14] What is the role of digital media in building your brand?

  • It is a phenomenal opportunity to reach consumers directly.
  • There is influencer marketing, social media, and multiple sampling, so it is the right mix of all.
  • We have been leveraging more on trials and word of mouth.
  • We are an 80 percent digital sales brand and 20 percent is offline.

  •  We’re constantly innovating in terms of product solutions, and we are being quick.

  • There is no right time to start up.
  • If you are on the entrepreneurial journey purely for being rich, you may not enjoy the journey.

Sreejith belongs to second category & his subject knowledge with innovative skills is a very rare combination. His passion to making a difference has helped him climb the ladder of success. After completing his MBA from symbiosis, he started his career in human resource department. Although out his career, he has worked in the human resource background across various functions.

He has more than a decade of experience in the Corporate HR across geographies of India, Mainland China & Europe. The idea behind this startup came due to personal experiences of both the founders. Close family members of both the individuals were lost due to health issues. These incidents made them ponder over the need for healthy food to promote better health and reduce the risk of diseases. Within a few months of its inception, healthyworld.in has received huge appreciation with in the country.
