Overview

Back in the earlier days, the content was limited to written form. Since there were limited forms of communication unlike today in 2022. It was an era of print media such as brochures, books, newspapers, and to some extent advertising which were in the form of hoardings, banners, etc. The content of which was in writing format.

Therefore, in today’s context content is a form of matter or material which useful to the end user.

  • My business was founded in 2012. But the story begins in 1903 when my Great Great Grandfather founded Foyles the Bookshop.
  • I’m the fifth generation of entrepreneurs in my family. So I’ve always known I wanted my own business. And I wrote my first business plan at the age of 15.
  • Proof Content is founded on a combination of creativity and a deep understanding of business.
  • Today we’re a small team in-house who work with a network of over 150 freelance writers to harness the commercial power of words and make your website work harder.
  • When I’m not at work you can find me reading and building up a library of my own, walking my dog Basil and occasionally braving a wild swim.

03:04- How do you define “results-driven content”?

  • We probably call it more data-driven content.
  • There’s a specific KPI behind everything we’re doing, and we’re constantly measuring it to see what works best.
  • With writing, there will always be a level of creativity, and you will always need to use your own ideas of what you think will work.
  • But you really need the data because it shows you how wrong you are so many times.

05:08- How can brands succeed in the digital world?

  • In COVID the brands that hadn’t invested in digital had to suddenly invest in it.
  • It’s just tackling probably one channel at a time rather than just going for everything because you just have to learn what works for your brand.
  • I think just creating content that people actually want to read is a good start.

07:49- How will brands connect with consumers?

  • With the rise of social media, it has become so easy.
  • Especially with Instagram stories, it is kind of here’s something we’ve quickly created rather than here are these really carefully curated posts on the feed.
  • People love to see behind the scenes of a brand.
  • It is a brilliant opportunity for brands to be humanized.
