02:37- What are some of the inequity challenges that are faced today?

  • One of the challenges women face is that they are underrepresented in senior leadership and high-paying jobs and overrepresented in low-paying jobs.
  • People of color and transgender face disproportionately high levels of unemployment and other economic hardships.
  • There have been numerous studies that suggest that women in general earn 82 cents per dollar earned by their male counterparts

07:31- Do you think women leaders don’t have a voice?

  • One of the important things is to cultivate a psychologically safe space to actually reap the benefits of diversity and inclusion.
  • Hiring diverse talents is a great way to get started but unless we create a very equitable culture we can’t get any benefits.
  • We have to allow people to speak their minds, be vulnerable, take risks, learn from their mistakes, etc.

17:21- How has your background shaped your coaching philosophy?

  • Firstly, my personal background has instilled the values of hard work and great thinking within me.
  • My corporate background has enabled me to be very culturally aware which has made me very grounded.
  • Lastly, my entrepreneurial background has made me very humble and nonjudgmental toward everybody.
